Student Traineeships in France

Since 2015, selected students of our school have been regularly participating in two-month work placements in the French region of Brittany. They spend their summer holidays working in the tourism sector, applying their knowledge of French and gaining valuable work experience.

This project is supported by the Regional Authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region and is very popular among our pupils, as is evident from several reflections.

Jana Limbergová (2017) wrote:

"What could be better than going away for the whole summer, living and travelling with your best friend, improving your skills in a beautiful language, and earning something to boot? Amazing! Our employers were very supportive, and most importantly, they were patient. After a few days, we became a valued part of the work team. On our two days off each week, we each tried to travel as much as we could. Whether it was to a restaurant, a treetop hotel, donkey care or something else, we all took away a lot of work and language experience."

Fabian Byrtus (2015) wrote:

"In my opinion, we had an unforgettable holiday in France, during which I learned a lot, not only in terms of language. Last, but not least, I got to know many exceptional people, such as members of our French family, who were very friendly and sympathetic and with whom I continue to stay in contact. In conclusion, I would like to encourage all future trainees - go to Brittany and you will definitely not regret it."
