Erasmus+
2022-2024
Let's Break the Disaster Chain by Doing Sports for Our Earth
We are pleased to announce that our school has once again been successful in its application for a small-scale partnership project in the school education sector and has been awarded an Erasmus+ grant for the period 1 September 2022 - 1 September 2024.
The selected pupils will have the opportunity to travel to partner schools in Bodrum (Turkey) and Massafra (Italy) and participate in activities designed to support their educational, professional and personal development. They will participate in solving social problems and contribute to the creation of a more inclusive society. We will also host our new Italian and Turkish partners in Ostrava.
The theme of the project is a return to sport and socialising after a covid break, along with environmental sustainability. You can follow the current events on the project's Facebook page.
2018-2022
Tigrid's languages
A total of 10 people were involved in the Erasmus+ project "Tigrid Languages", which started on 1 July 2019 and ended on 30 June 2022. They were the school principal and also the author of the project, the school economist, 3 linguists and 5 so-called non-linguists teachers. Among the teachers were three heads of subject sections (AJ, geography, physical education), the coordinator of the so-called School Action Plan, as well as a methodologist for the prevention of socially pathological phenomena. These ten staff members undertook 12 mobility trips abroad. (The number of staff, their structure and the number of excursions changed during the project, whether due to the covid situation or the crisis in Ukraine.) Read more...
2015-2018
School Partnership
In 2015-2018, our school ran an Erasmus+ project under the European Union's education programme, focusing on the area of school partnerships. Since this project has worked very well and we are still using its outputs in our school, we decided to continue with another project.
Since September 2018, a second project has been launched, this time called "The same or different?". Its main objective is to compare the culture and national heritage of the participating countries and to exchange best educational practices. The project also aims to raise the partners' awareness of their own culture and history and to address the diversity of the European Union countries at a time when globalisation is the trend.
International partnerships with European schools mean for us to learn about each other, but also to learn about ourselves. Our partners are schools from Romania and Poland.
More information about the project and its outcomes can be found on the eTwinning website, TwinSpace.
Schule Draussen - School Outdoors
The project "Schule draußen" ran at our high school from 1 September 2015 to 30 June 2018. During the three years of the project, several dozen students and some teachers went on excursions abroad to partner schools to inspire, motivate and teach each other.
The aim of the project was to get teaching outside the school building. To learn through practice, through experience. To follow the motto of Confucius: "What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I try, I understand." Travelling to partner schools allowed all participants to practice foreign languages in real situations, to learn about the teaching and practices in the countries and to enrich their cultural knowledge.
